Community Gardens in Pierce County, Washington state.

     Did you know that in Pierce County, Washington state there are 53 local community gardens?  I did not... they sustain and foster community gardening in an urban and rural area. With education, community spirit and advocacy we can be part of this wonderful experience. Growing your own fruits and vegetables is very rewarding. A true sense of self reliance will emerge. Get the entire family involved and you will be amazed how much time you will spend together....and enjoy the garden. Children love to see their seeds become a vital plant that produces food for the family. Then the best part, preparing a meal...of these wholesome and nutritious produce that you have grown yourself.
