This is called a " Dry Garden" and is featured on the Bloedel Reserve on Bainbridge Island, Washington. A rather interesting way to fill in an old pond or swimming pool. There gardens are spectacular! Lots to see, especially in the spring and summer. Great place to take a walk and enjoy nature at its finest. A must see when visiting Washington State.
